Storefront by Hexagon Systems
Your clients order their own print. You get production-ready jobs.
A branded ordering portal for each of your clients. Multi-store POS, approvals and budgets built in, with print-ready files sent straight into your workflow.
Built by people who have run print production, on the platform behind live work for national retail brands.
Sound familiar?
Your clients love your print. They hate ordering it.
- 01
Orders arriving by email, phone and spreadsheet, each in a different format.
- 02
Hours spent re-keying, resizing artwork and chasing approvals.
- 03
Multi-site clients you can only serve by adding more admin staff.
All of that is admin time that never makes it onto an invoice. Storefront moves ordering into a portal your clients use themselves, so your team handles production instead of inboxes.
How it works
One portal, two sides.
Your client gets an easy way to order, and your production team gets jobs they can print straight away.
Your client
- 1
Log in to their portal
In their own branding, with the catalogue and prices you set for them.
- 2
Pick, personalise, proof
Choose items for their store, fill in local details and see a live proof.
- 3
Approve and order
Approvals and budgets are handled automatically, and the order is placed in minutes.
Your print house
- 1
Jobs arrive production-ready
Print-ready PDFs, job tickets and delivery details. Nothing to re-key.
- 2
Into your workflow
Sent to your hot folder, MIS or inbox, ready for the press you already run.
- 3
Dispatch and invoice
Split delivery and packing lists for each store, with PO numbers on every job.
Why print houses use it
Built for the parts of print that don't make money.
Less admin, more print
No re-keying, chasing or spreadsheet reconciling. Your team's time goes on production.
More orders, more often
When ordering is easy, stores order more often, and reorders take one click.
Fewer errors
Locked templates and validated orders mean fewer misprints, reprints and awkward calls.
Clients that stay
Once a client's whole estate orders through your portal, switching printer is a lot harder.
Proof
Already running for print houses and their clients.

The same engine behind national retail work
Storefront runs on the Hexagon platform, which already produces high-volume variable-data POS and print-ready PDFs for national retail brands.
- Variable data & PDF generation at volume
- Brand-locked templates for strict guidelines
- SFTP, API and hot-folder production handoff
- UK-hosted, maintained for you
Features
Everything a print portal should do. Nothing it shouldn't.
Configured for print: stocks, sizes, finishes, artwork and production. It isn't a general online shop with print bolted on.
- Control
Approval workflows
Route orders to a regional or brand manager before production. Nothing reaches your press without sign-off.
- Ordering
Branded for each client
Every client gets their own portal in their own branding, on a subdomain or their domain. It looks like their tool, and it's powered by you.
- Control
Budgets & cost centres
Set spend limits for each store or region, and use PO numbers and cost codes. Clients stay in budget, and you stop chasing invoices.
- Control
Campaign drops
Push a seasonal campaign kit to every store at once with set quantities, so each store just confirms.
- Ordering
POS & print catalogue
Posters, shelf-edge, window graphics, menus, stationery. Each item comes with sizes, stocks, finishes and price rules you control.
- Production
Split delivery
One order, delivered to forty stores. Delivery addresses and packing lists are generated for each location.
- Production
Hosted & maintained
We run the infrastructure, updates and backups. You don't have to hire a developer or look after a server.
- Production
Fits your workflow
Send jobs into your MIS or hot folders over SFTP, API or email, and keep your production process as it is.
- Ordering
Multi-store ordering
Store managers order for their own site. Head office sees every location, sets allocations and approves orders in one place.
- Production
Production-ready output
Orders arrive with imposed or press-ready PDFs, job tickets and delivery details, so nobody has to re-key anything.
- Control
Order history & reporting
Spend by store, product and campaign, with one-click reorders. Your client gets the visibility they'd otherwise build a spreadsheet for.
- Ordering
Personalised artwork
Customers fill in a template with names, prices, addresses or local offers. They get a live proof, and you get a print-ready PDF.
Can customers edit artwork themselves?
Within limits you set. Templates lock the brand elements and leave editable fields such as prices, store names, dates and local offers. Customers see a live proof before ordering.
Is this off-the-shelf software?
No. Storefront runs on the same platform behind production work for national retail brands, and it was built by people who have run print production. It's configured for print houses rather than general e-commerce.
Who hosts it and handles security?
We do. Storefronts are hosted and maintained by Hexagon Systems in the UK, with SSL, backups and updates included.
Does it work with our MIS / production workflow?
Orders can leave as print-ready PDFs with job data by SFTP, hot folder, API or email. If your MIS has an import route, we'll connect to it. If not, we'll match the job ticket format you already use.
Can it run on my client's domain?
Yes. Each storefront can run on a subdomain of yours or on your client's own domain, with their branding throughout.
How is it priced?
A set-up fee for each storefront plus a monthly platform fee. There are no per-order commissions, so you keep your margin. We'll give you exact figures on the demo once we understand your clients.
How long does it take to launch a storefront?
A typical first storefront goes live in a few weeks. That includes branding, loading your catalogue and pricing, and connecting the output to your production workflow. Each additional client portal is much faster.
Who actually uses it, me or my client?
Both. Your client's staff (store managers, marketing, head office) order through a portal in their branding. You manage products, pricing, approvals and production from the admin side.

A 15-minute call. We'll show you a working portal, how orders reach production, and what it would take to launch your first client.
